Beckett Hobbs, Logan Sarzalejo, and Henry Shriber, the co-founders of the Issaquah Film Festival and its parent organization Tarot 77 Entertainment, all dream of their event one day becoming the Sundance of the Pacific Northwest.
“If we’re able to curate and cultivate a hub for independent filmmaking, and if we’re able to also promote Issaquah as this charming city just outside of Seattle on the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, if we’re able to kind of put those things together, we hope that this can be a really attractive city for art in general,” Shriber, the event’s programming director, told 425 in mid-May.
