The Gig Harbor Film Festival is returning for a 17th year later this month with a wider selection of films and a broader mix of genres, Executive Director Pamela Holt told South Sound this week.

The festival is this year screening 85 movies — a more than 20-film increase from 2023 — and is seeing its hefty slate of shorts curated into 10 differently themed blocks.
