After nearly a decade of work, “Bring Them Home” is making the rounds on the festival circuit — and its next stop is the Seattle International Film Festival on May 16 and 18. 

Narrated by Mountlake Terrace High School graduate and newly minted Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone, the documentary chronicles the decades-long efforts from Blackfeet tribal members to substantially bring buffalo back to their ancestral land — a place the animal had flourished in the millions, and where it was inextricable from Blackfeet traditions and customs, until colonial violence cut its population down into near-extinction.
